Award Night

Best Employee, Green Initiative 2010 Award goes to...

Hello lovely readers!
On Thursday night 12th August 2010, Connie had what I thought was a little award night.
It was straight after work so we had to get dressed nicely from the morning, before we went to work.

The event was held at the Docklands in the CBD of Melbourne...it was near the water there and it was extra cold and windy!!!

*as i was writing this Connie called, she was at the footy watching the Magpies play. She was telling me that she was working on our blog this morning..Telepathy much!*

The MC of the night was Kim from Channel 10's 'David & Kim' morning show. She was speaking a little too much about herself, just to simply set an example of older generations teaching and guiding younger generations through life as they're still growing up and learning.

A bit of a too blurry picture of Kim.
Apart from the point about her speech, she's a lovely woman!

Connie telling us a Story.

Getting her Award with Mr.Pout =]
Excuse the blurriness once again, but we had bad spots.

Connie is being called back on stage for an unexpected interview by Kim!
She didn't know that they were gonna do that so she had nothing prepared, and since she dislikes public speaking LOTS!....it didn't really make it better haha poor girl.

No one probably noticed a thing but I could tell how nervous she was at the start. After not even 5 Seconds she ignored her nervousness and totally owned the Speech/Interview!!And That's My Girl! =D
She was seriously so good! It sounded as if she actually was prepared for the questions and about what she had to say. Best part was, she got the room laughing at one of the experiences she had with work.Funny Girl she is.

...she couldn't wait to get off the stage haha how cute.coming back to us with two awards yay!

Presenting her pretty award.

Now, if you're like one of us with a looooooooooong surname, then you would also be used to getting it spelled wrong on awards like Connie. I remember in High school on certificates, awards or anything else where my surname would have to be included they would spell it wrong...followed by my first name :(
Connie and myself are so used to it. At one stage they would even mix up our names!...but that's another story.

Alba (Connie's sister) , Connie and myself after, near the water at Docklands.

It was a pretty good night (apart from standing in heels all night).
I just want to say congratulations to my girl again, I'm so so proud of you.
You have accomplished so much in just one year! You're just gonna keep going higher from here on, I know it :)

Love you lots!

xoxoNelly
