From Very Hot!..to a very wet Melbourne

Our unique city of Melbourne is well known for its crazy weather mood swings!
Last Friday we had 28 degrees and Sunshine and then the day after on Saturday it was down to 17 degrees and stormy rain and floods!

On Friday we had our friends Caetlyn 20th Birthday at..hmm guess where we went again??? The Perseverance! haha.
Since we're planning on going overseas next year we have to think of many ways on how to cut down on spendings.

1.Buy 'travellers' if you're heading out where drinks can get pricey.
:p

With the birthday girl in the car on our way there.
yup..another shot in the toilets haha.
The group for the night, everyone enjoying themselves :)
you can't tell but i had 2seconds to run from the bar and back to them thanks to my timer to take the picture hehe.
definitely a bunch of good looking peeps right there :P
Love these last two pictures the most, wish i could have stolen the photographers cameras look at how cool they look!

After Caetlyns Birthday we got home in time to have enough sleep before we had to get ready for Derby Day
(One of the Melbournian Spring Racing Days where the traditional dress code is Black & White)

Last year when Connie and myself went for the first time it was amazing weather but it got too hot at one stage. This year it was the extreme opposite! It was bucketing down till the streets flooded, it was a very amazing day haha.

Ready to go to the Races :]
Connie having a little lunch break under our mofo umbrella haha.
One of the many races of the day.
Squeezing together under the umbrella but someone just kept getting wet, especially when the wind joined the rain...that was just great...
We had to go inside away from the horrible weather, but it wasn't that much better there.
It was all wet, slippery and crowded because everyone else was hiding from the rain there too.
So we finally left about 20minutes before the main race haha,oh well...we didn't get to place bets anyway.
Poor Caetlyn walking under the rain from the Flemington Race Course....let's hope next year will be better compared to the last two years.
Here we are waiting for our lift under our big umbrella totally soaked!
...But that didn't stop us from having our own fun.
When we got home we laid on the couch and watched TV firstly because we were wrecked!
Then sometime later Connie and me fell asleep while leaving Caetlyn alone to watch a movie lol. All that running around in the rain in heels really got to us, once we woke up we played some games on the Wii which was pretty funny!
We had some dinner and called it a night. We really ended up having way more fun when we got home then at the races. I mean it was a great experience to get all dressed up and go to such a old traditional event, but when you can't do much because everything is flooded...then that ain't fun lol.

That's all for today from me :)

#TwitterParty ...packed weekend continued.

Saturday Night:
Hello again,
tonight i'm on a roll with finally paying more attention to our lovely blog.
I set this random goal which is to not use Twitter & Facebook for 7days, since I use Twitter all the time and it's day one...it's been hard lol. But that's not what this post will be about.

It's about taking little risks and trying new things out because let's face it, life is just too short.
So for a few weeks it was talked about @MissReneeLJ 's birthday and how all these others from twitter would go too. To be honest I wasn't too sure at the start, yes I speak to them every day but I didn't know who they really were lol.
Last minute Connie and Me thought...what the heck let's just go, we got nothing to loose they seem awesome and it would be great to meet who we 'Tweet' to daily.
Getting her ticket, last thing you want is a fine...yuck.
On the train to Transport bar, gotta love blurry pics :)
@Kat_La @ConnieCupcakes @STU2075 @Neila4
well now they're just not Twitter names to us anymore, they're awesome people we got to know and party with. Straightaway it just felt normal for some reason, a friend of ours thought we were crazy to meet "strangers"...and probably still thinks that haha.
It was really hard to find them I think i asked about 6 randoms if their name was 'Renee' before i bumped into Kat hehe.
Having definitely a good time.
You need to know that Stu on the right came aaaall the way to Melbourne from Tasmania!
Now that's commitment hey!
I think that there was a stuffed sheep toy in Renee's top that stu either pulled out or put down there haha.
Sorry, I can't remember but it was funny for shizzle!
Renee & Connie dancing it out on the dance floor.
Get Smart and the birthday girl :D
@Stu2075 @stormbikes @MissReneeLJ @Kat_La @shibz @getsmart86 @shibz2311
you have twitter?then follow them..NOW!
they're as awesome as we are haha.really!

....surprise surprise!!!Where did our night end again??
At the Crown Casino haha....even when we don't plan it, it's like we have to!
Thinking back in the past years now since we've turned 18, the bestest nights ended up at Crown.

I'm glad we decided to meet up with these pretty awesome guys, and that we just did what we thought was right. can you imagine what would have happened if we wouldn't have gone?we wouldn't have had that much fun :p

Sunday Morning:
we woke up at..uhh...once we slept the tiredness off, got ready and I made us some pancakes for Breakkie yums!
I did burn the first few....but they ended up being not too bad towards the end haha.
And while I was being too busy making sure they weren't burning, Connie was looking up a few europe tours which we will be going on next year :D
We weren't meant to go until 2012, but why wait so long we have now worked so hard to save enough $$$$. It's time that we take some time and enjoy ourselves properly and do what we always planned and spoke about since back in the High school years.
Spreading some Nutella on that pancake!

It was a very successful weekend, we had so much fun as you can see :)
Thanks for reading!

A Very packed Weekend!

Hello! This time it's Nelly :)
This post has not been posted due to not having pictures uploaded, and a post without pictures is a little boring imo.

Our packed weekend started on a Friday after work when Connie our friend Caetlyn and myself ate out at Cavallino on Lygon Street. Lygon street is a a street in Melbourne filled with mediterranean restaurants and shops, if you visit Melbourne visit Lygon too :)
The food was great with it we also had white wine, it wasn't the best but good enough.
After dinner we went to Caetlyns work where everyone had left and I started getting ready for the Night. Once that was done Caetlyn dropped me off at a Karaoke place where I had my work colleagues waiting for me to sing...which never happened :P

Yeah I'm really shy with singing in front of people unless I had few drinks in me or after I feel comfortable enough with that person. Anyway the night was great I had 5Free drink cards which i had to waste in less than 2hours, so by the time Caetlyn & Connie had picked me up I was..well let's say very happy. Thinking about it now I feel really sorry for Connie & Caetlyn for having to hear my singing all the way to our mate's Birthday.

The Party was at the Doutta Galla Hotel in Flemington, which never went to so we didn't really know what to expect. WOW it was a great great night, the Music was just about perfect the crowd not so much but it didn't matter because we were too busy dancing it up.  They had this special 'Tea Pot' which had...I'm not too sure what but you had to have it in shots, and because it's big and not something you can leave at the bar we had it all quick!
Connie pouring some TeaPot drink in out shot glasses.

The ones to drink it all were...no big surprise, Leigh Connie and I.

Must Toilet shots.

I'm Telling you the best pictures are always taken in the girls toilet, there is just something about them.
Girls catch up on all the gossip, make-up is being reapplied and the outfit is being fixed up. So here it is boys, you always wonder why girls take aaaages in the toilet, of course we don't pee like the Niagara Falls haha.

Here are the Girls looking all cute :)

Last pic of the night,Kisses to you from DDF :)
That mark on Connies head was from falling down the stairs on her way out, just kidding it's a lipstick mark :p

Cousin's Wedding :)

Hello my lovelies! I have missed writing to you all...

So I guess I should start with my apologies for lack of posting in the past month or so...

It has been a really busy time for me, and Nelly as well. So busy that we barely find the time to see each other, and have even less time for us to write here for you all.

Here are some of the things going down in my life, that have been keeping me so busy - it started with my birthday, which i was busy all weekend spending time with Nelly and co, and just celebrating my life :)

The weekend after my birthday was the AFL Grand Final, I cuoldnt get tickets to that game so i was at Sidney Meyer Music Bowl, unfortunately we didnt win that game, it was draw and subsequently that meant we would have to have a rematch the following weekend. So the first weekend of October was also spent watching the Grand Final, though this time i got tickets and was there to watch my team win their 15th Premiership Cup :) but more on that at a later date.

Then this past weekend was my cousins Wedding which is what this post is about.

This isnt really my cousin. You see my Dad's family all lives in Italy except for one of his uncles - Michaelangelo - who my Dad loves and treats like his own father. Anyways, Zio Michaelangelo had two kids Carmel and Joe who both have kids older than us.

Zia Carmel is actually my second cousin, as she is my dad's first cousin, and her son, Andrew (my third cousin), was getting married on the weekend.

I know it seems weird that I would know my third cousins but my Dad is really old school and likes to stay in touch with his family.

Anyways, this past weekend was Andrew and Janine's wedding. They married on 10/10/10 like 1000 other couples in Melbourne did. It was an amazingly beautiful day. 25 degrees Celcius and the sun shining all day long. The wedding was held at the Siren on Williamstown Beach and it was my families first beach wedding. Of course the rest of the family had much to comment on but i though it was a beautiful beach wedding.

Janine is a Kiwi so her family showed us some of their traditions and even did the haka.. it was amazing. i now know why people would get scared of that. And then the Italians sang the song from the Godfather (we're Sicilian, thats how we do things). There were a lot of emotional speeches, and it was great to hear things about Andrew and Janine. despite knowing they have been together for 8 and a half years i didnt really know them.

The night was fantastic! the weather was warm and so comfortable to be outside, and the music was excellent. They played old school, r&b and current music which made for the best night.

anyways here are some photos of the event. We didnt take too many since we were enjoying ourselves :)

With my Siblings - Dona, Alba and Nino.

Alba and I being silly with the camera :)

Dona, me and Alba - do you think we look alike?

Not the best of photos, but i love this shot of my sisters, myself and my Mamma.

Zia Adelina and Zio Michaelangelo with Nino.

The Four of us again. Look how pretty the beach was :)
What you cant see here is that right next to us there are people who are having dinner at the restaurant, completely seperate to the wedding. So while all the people on the one side were in their sunday best for the wedding, on the other side we had people in jeans and bikinis having something to eat. They kept staring at us as we walking to the restaurant, and we could hear them murmur "they must be going to a wedding" like Duh!

Janine and Andrew cutting the cake. After the Ceremony and photos taken on the beach, it was time for speeches and cake.

with my sisters again :)

Munchin Mikayla. how adorable is she?

My family with the Bride and Groom.

The Groom, His Mother (zia Carmel) and his Grandmother (zia Adelina)

and again :)

Totally photobombed my mum and brother haha.

Mikayla in her jamis but still partying!

Daniela and I hiding our double chins LOL. (she is Mikayla's mamma, and my third cousin)

We're so original :P

Okie Dokes, I think tahts enough for now.

Expect another post to come on Collingwood Winning the 2010 Premiership Cup.

bye bye my loves, Connie.

Happy Birthday Connie

Hello !
Like I said in my previous post it was Connies B-Day this Saturday and let me tell you, it was a great night...from what we can remember...
haha.
No we're not that bad, we always remember everything, and if we don't we tell each other what happened so that we know everything that happened.
So here's what happened:

Firstly The birthday girl had to get ready before everyone got there.
...Lots of curling involved

Then shortly after her family started coming over with lots of good colorful presents hehe

CAKE TIME!!! YUMMIES!

Blow The Candles!!
  BIG 2 0

*Thriller sound*
Kiiiiilling the cake!!! haha, she definitely isn't accepting the fact that she's 20 now.

Birthday Girl with the Family, naws =]

                  Her Lovely Aunty's and Uncles.
With her parents and Younger sister and brother.
they should have cameras in their house, sometimes they're way more entertaining than the Kardashians lol.

And here is all of us!
(from left:)
Me Connie Reece Sareta Caetlyn (forgot his name, he was Iains mate who's next to him) haha
everyone was welcome to Connies Birthday lol.

The Night was then Continued at The Perseverance on Brunswick street, which you most likely would have read about in a few previous posts. At First when we got there we had a bad first impression, it was full of guys and they didn't see too nice or like our type lol.
But we thought...screw it that won't stop us we'll have a few drinks, jump on the dance floor and have some fun!
Even if there was a few creepy guys annoying us here and there there was one of the many highlights.
So this random guy comes to us while we were at the bar and tells us
"soon walk towards where I'm standing and someone will ask you which shirt is better, the blue or the red one. say the blue one!"
We thought why not!So we go there, that mate of his stops us asks us...we say THE BLUE ONE..and who was wearing the Blue shirt? the captain from North Melbourne AFL 'Brett harvey' haha. It was so random.

xoxo=]

Party Animal, let me tell you!

Connie Jorrit. and Caetlyn having a drink at the  bar.
Caetles Nelly and Connie
I'm honestly not sure of who he was,but I apparently took the photo and Caetlyn and Connie seem like they knew him for years lol.

Having a good time for shizzle!!!
Kisses for the Birthday Girl, MWAH!

It's not a party unless Connie or myself do the Sprinkler haha
Now this one is another one I do not remember, do you Connie?
anyway I took it, and when i saw it today i Thought the guy looked like Kal Penn, I'm sure you would have seen him in movies like Van Wilder with Ryan Reynolds, yum!

haha this one is cute
Daniel Psyching out a little haha
haha look at that pretty crazy girl in  the background!
She's pretty funny lol.
This is one of the cutest pictures of the night in my opinion =]
I really like it lots.
And we also look sober...not that we weren't....
It was like we knew them for ages! haha
Finland and Western Australia Guys.

The Next few pictures...I'm not sure what it was they were doing but it involved a huge curtain and was funny that you had to be there lol

...we once again ended the night at Crown Casino! haha

Being Silly by the Sushi Bar.
A picture of the city all blurry and sleepy on our way home.
before that we had spend a bit of time in the car park because we couldn't find Caetlyns car.

And here we are in the car all tired and out of energy but oh so Worth it!
I want to wish My Girl a Happy Birthday again, I hope you had fun even though not everything went by plan but we ended up having more fun by not following the plans :p
You are such a great friend seriously, I'm glad to have you as my BFF I dnt care how childish that sounded lol.
I feel like this is still the very start of our Friendship and we got lots of awesome things and experiences waiting for us. you'll be an autny Connie!haha(not now..I'm just sayn..one day she will lol)
Even if we both have achieved and gone through so so many things together, good and very tough times which we wouldn't have gone through without each other, there is so much ahead of us. Even if you think 20 is old!!..It's not haha.
(seriously, Connie and Myself have a whole list of them haha)

To The Best Friend in the Universe!Lots of hugs and Kisses and Birthday wishes again!
I hope you had as much fun as we did =]
