Successful Weekend.

Hello there,
this weekend we did a lot and the best is that we didn't plan any of it.
On friday while I was at work Connie texted me to ask if I wanted to see the Pies beat the Blues as she had a spare ticket for the huuuge match.
Straight after work we met at Connie's work and caught the tram/walked to the MCG.
We were pretty lucky to have an awesome weather that day, the MCG is open so in winter you easily freeze your bottom off and when it rains...oooh you can only imagine hehe.
Here is the sun that was going down behind the beautiful city of Melbourne behind us, while we were walking to the MCG :)

The match was goood and we had good seats close to the ground, the one thing that annoyed all of us was the drunk guys who started a fight with us girls out of nowhere?!?!
We were there with connies mum,lil brother, cousins and aunty&uncle as it is a family event. Going to the footy as far as I know has always been from the lil and older ones, it's not a place to get pissed at and abuse the hell out of who you want to. People like that should perhaps watch the match at a pub and not where they're surrounded by families.

Anyway...apart from them low "guys" it was fun as Connie and her Mum are the most passionate supporters I have ever seen, some times during the match i would actually look at them instead of the players haha.

After a long day and a good long sleep, Saturday started at 10am this time with my mother and Connie of course. We went shopping as my 21st birthday is only 13days away and I still had nothing to wear. We started in Brunswick where I found shoes I didn't really need, they were cute, cheap and only in my size...I wasn't just gonna leave em there lol.
We so gangsta and hip! haha

After having lunch in a cute lil French Cafe' we headed off to Highpoint, a big shopping centre in our area. There I finally found a cute white dress with sleeves which were the main thing i was looking in a dress on my hunt. I still have no shoes but we were so tired we just wanted to leave and go homeee.

Tired and out of energy we collapsed on the couch at home and did a Gossip Girl marathon haha, come on you gotta looove Gossip Girl!! We sure do :)
We watched it till it was time for dinner, which we had at a family friends house. Till dinner was ready we played with the lil kids ... we played with barbies! hahaha it was really funny.

After dinner we went home and watched Gossip Girl again till we fell asleep. zzZzzzzz.......

We had a pretty good weekend, the next big event for us will be Supafest which I would have mentioned in prev posts with all the awesome rapstars :)
till then...

YEAH MAN!

Hey there, any Usher fans out there? Well if there are, Connie and myself went to see him at his OMG Tour at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. It was a pretty good concert! He's still such a cutie and his voice still amazing!
It was a group of us ladies only, that made it even more fun as we could perv at Trey Songz who was on before usher ... as much as we want and not be told by the usual guys to grow up hehe.
But come on, I'm sure even the guys look at usher or Trey and wish they had their abs ..or whatever guys always compare lol.

So here are a few pictures from the night, enjoy ;)
Connie being a bit of a stalker.
(she got a new camera so she was testing it out a bit lol)
and next to me her sister :)

pretty excited to see Usherrrrr! yeah! yeah!

trying to kill some time before usher jumped on...
..shhh don't judge,i'm sure you do that too when you're bored lol.

Trey Songz finally came on stage and he was pretty damn good.
He picked a girl to sing to from the crown and he pashed her too....that girl man haha.
Her face expressions of shock were so funny everyone was laughing, as her face was showed on many screens.
"bottoms up! bottoms up! throw your hands up!..."
He's such a sweet talker and sooo damn cute!
And when he took his shirt off!well you can only imagine hehe.

Usher also took his shirt off, yay.
And I totally agree, you just can't help to stare hehe.

The two pictures above are from the song 'Lil Freak'
I randomly downloaded that song and straightaway fell in love with it,
I thought it was just..random so I never even thought that he would sing it.
When he did...well I just went a lil crazy!
That song is pretty damn good,if you look it up make sure you listen to the one with Nicki Minaj :)

In the above pictures cutie Raymond does a lil something for the one he always looked up to,
was inspired by and was very close to.
M.J

At last the whole stage lit up and everyone went crazy to OMG!

It was a fun fun night, I loved that he sand a few of his very old skool songs.

Our next big event will be Supafest which we blogged about last year too,
except this year it will be a billion times better.
All the rap/RnB stars i have listened too since I was about 8yrs old, I was always too young too see them when they came in concert and no one ever wanted to go as they had bad...err I mean different music taste :P
So now they happen to come all at once to Melbourne, I'm finally old enough lol and bought my ticket before christmas last year.
Should be another fun day, you'll read from myself or connie fo shizzle :p

Favourite Perfumes :)

Hello my lovelies.

I was trying to think of something fun to post about, and thought that slowly over time I will show you what my favourite smells are and what I find to be the best Perfumes, ones I myself own and wear everyday.

So for the first one, this is the perfume I wore today...

Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker
This is one of my favourites, and I find myself using this one daily. Its is so girly and floral, but its also sophisticated enough to make me smell good at work.

I would love to hear all your thoughts on this perfume, and on other. What is your favourite scent?

Supporting the World at this time...

Hi All!

So while I was blogging that last post I was thinking about all the things that have been going on in the world in the past couple of months.

I think a good place to start is to mention our home, Australia.

In January Queensland faced one of the worst possible Natural Disaster this country has seen.
I have lived here for 14 years and other than the 2009 Bushfires in Victoria I have never seen this beautiful country so devasted by what has happened.
And I wanted to express my deepest, most sincere thoughts on what has happened since.

It seemed like not long after, those same people were impacted by a tornado, and more loss occured. I think about the images that I have seen on the news and I feel for all those people. Even now I have a constricted throat.

But it isn't just Australia that has been impacted, New Zealand, our neighbours faced one of the most horrific Earthquakes in the Southern Hemisphere...
Reality really took me when we all realised how close to home Natural Disasters can get.
Again we watched, and prayed the situation would not get worse.

Then it seems not even a month after that, when New Zealand still has not had the time to clean the aftermath another earthquake occurs. This time causing a Tsunami to hit Japan.
These images have been some of the scariest we have seen. the numbers coming out about deaths and injuries are just astronomical, and completely saddening.

So though I am sure there are much better ways to say this, I just wanted anyone of you who have been impacted or who know someone who has been impacted, you should all know how much of our thoughts and prayers go to you, and your families.

I would also like to express my thought that though this may not actually be armageddon, you should all live like it is.
Take a trip to somewhere you consider paradise, be silly, make mistakes, laugh, love, eat, go broke... JUST LIVE! Because you can never know when the world will take that power away from you.

All our love,
Connie and Nelly.

BAD BLOGGER...

So I wanted to take the time to apologise for being such a bad blogger.

Life has sort of gotten in the way, when really life should have been what I would report back to you on here, it should have been the whole purpose and yet...

So I really hope that you can forgive both Nelly and I, and I promise to be a better blogger now.. in fact I will mark to put something on the Blog at least twice a week and hopefully I can stick to it.

Just know that I am very sorry.

Now on to some real blogging!

something different, something fun

Hello there!
last weekend myself and connie got invited by our friend Caetlyn to her cousins 21st,
the plan was to get a lil hotel room and then go out.

Because we don't like to rush it when we get ready before a big night, and other reasons...
Connie and myself headed to the hotel first.
Packing It Up
great photo connie.. haha
..On the way to the station..just a tad!excited :)
On the left Connies pretty new bag which she will most likely,
take with us to our overseas trip coming up!!

On the ride to the city 50% of our talk involved "omg i'm so hungry" .."nah but seriously i'm so hungry"
"we so have to eat when we get there" ".HUNGRY!" hehe

So that's what we did as soon as we checked in,left our bags there and ran to the closest restaurant.
We didn't literally run..but you get what I mean!
Being in the city everything was just a few steps away which was soo awesome and dream about how great it would be if we lived in the city.
We couldn't decide between KFC Hungry Jacks and Nandos, the whole time we were standing next to this restaurant which looked a lot better and healthier!!
Apart from the birds scaring us and dogs walking too close past connie (haha), it was a sweet spot to eat at.
It was an italian restaurant, next to it was a shop that sold cigars and other equipments to smoke with lol..
and next to that a japanese music store.
The variety just so funny .. only in melbourne!
We couldn't understand what the japanese songs were saying but we ended up singing along and getting the songs stuck in our head on the way back to the hotel lol!

Our powerless fan next to the rusty window.
It was such a nice day not too hot a tad too windy that i had to end up tying up my dress so that I wouldn't have a Marilyn Monroe moment. When we got back we still had a few hours spare before the night begun, so we just chilled on the bed watching TV with our fans lightly blowing on us haha.
Hey, it was better than nothing ok!
...killing some time...

Around 10.30ish we started getting ready.
Curling/Straightening Hair,Lipstick,Mascara,Eye-Shadow...and all those things a girl does.

Before leaving our room the plans had changed about 5 times so we just ended up going to European Bar which was under 1minute walk where we had a drink while waiting for two other friends.
Once they arrived we went to this place called Amber Lounge which was WOAH!
Not the crowd because it was just weird weird with a few nice boys, BUT the music was our kind.
It had a few goood dance songs and amazing rap and RnB including Snoop, and...
for some reason all I can remember is snoop...but there were others I promise, I just can't think of them right now lol :p

Sam & Connie at Amber Lounge
Jess & Nelly

Once we had danced a little at Amber, Caetlyn had arrived with her cousin to the city so we drove back to....EUROPEAN BAR! haha again
us in the car being...well... us!
we always know how to have a good night even if things annoyed us LOTS before we had gone out lol.
we know how to parteh! :]

So back to the european bar where they have a live band and DJ ... and a bit of a too big crowd!
We got back to dancing and then we went to the bar, where we ordered 2 Tequila shots (with lemon and salt of course).
It's a lil italian thing that you throw salt over your shoulders for good luck, so as a joke i did that but straight away I noticed that something was odd. Salt does not easily go up your nose!but having had a few drinks before I didn't pay too much attention, so we continued with the salt on the hand holding the lemon.
Connie is average or maybe a little faster at getting the shots down, me being weak..not so much!
1.we licked the "salt" (I stopped at step 1)
2.drink the tequila
3.suck on the lemon
The stupid bar tender had given us PEPPER instead of Salt!!! I felt sooo sick, well we both did.
Of course the dumb bar tender had a laugh about it,but i would not want ANYONE to ever try that seriously!! eeeeek!!!!!
so there was a left over tequila shot... and you do not!..waste Gold tequila. Connie was brave enough to drink mine too haha what a strong woman!

After another good dance we ended up walking back to the hotel, but because we weren't tired enough we went upstairs on the awesome rooftop our hotel had.
It was pretty big and we had a lookout on the big City lights where we talked and talked about everything till around 5.30am.
It was pretty nice to chill out after a big night until the smell of yummy croissants on a Sunday morning made us huuungry!
And that's when we decided that it was time to get to bed as we would have to wake up at 9am again to check out. Connie had a baby shower to go to, and I was happy to go home and have a rest as i was still feeling sick from the pepper lol.

So I believe I have told you almost every single detail of our different but fun weekend,
hope you enjoyed it.

WEEKLY WEAR :)

Heya!
We thought it would be fun to start a weekly blog post about what we have been wearing during the week.
So here are some of our outfits from day to day.
And come on, tell us what you think works well on us, and what we should never try again =P
Monday:

Connie:
LOL. OK, don't laugh at my face hahahaha. I am wearing Glassons Polka dot top and pale pink skirt.
I love this outfit, it is so Blair Waldorf. My favourite bit is the skirt, it's so flowy and girlie it makes me happy =)
I wore it with my grey stockings cos I didn't want to wear a lot of black with this outfit. And I think the black would have make the look too harsh, where as the grey ones make it lighter and kind of different.
I even managed to get my hair to look like Blairs even though you cant tell from here LOL.
(P.S this is my new room... well not so new now, but yeah its pink now, and i love my curtain. though i still need to put that corkboard up rather than just leave it on my floor)

Tuesday:
Nelly:
Wearing one of those skirts with the elastic band which is one of the comfiest things ever! With a cream white top with a little bit of fun lace at the top and a simple Grey blazer.

Wednesday:
 Connie:
I wore another really Blair outfit on Wednesday. This animal print top with frills is so cute and girlie it goes perfect with the skirt, which is the same one I wore on Monday, only in Black haha.
I wore sheerish stockings.. but not because I wanted to, because my other good ones were in the washing machine =(
Anyways I loved this look too.
NeLLy:"this one is my fav so far, I really like it!I reckon you could wear it out too when we go for drinks or even out dancing, well done Blair" :)

Thursday:
Nelly:
Kinda keeping it plain but my fav part is the coat with the red scarf :)
then underneath I wore a very plain dress with black cardie. Now i wish you could see the pattern on the stockings..they're pretty cool.
Yeah the face is hidden because trust me the smiley face is better than My actual face expression.
It's the face you have when you wait for the timer on your camera to take a picture of you.

Friday:
I thought red looked nice with grey, I felt like a nerd wearing the companys theme color :P
the stockings are awesome because they're sort of random..
In the picture i'm wearing pretty heels which i didn't end up wearing to work because I have to walk LOTS just to get to work.
Saturday:
Connie and nelly going out on a saturday night :)

Nelly:
At a friends Birthday party Saturday night, looks like a skirt but it's a dress.
I haven't got much to say to this other than when i first saw it hanging in the shop I didn't like it but once I put it on I Loved it :)
Connie:
just pick a favourite outfit from when we went out on a saturday night and insert here lol

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Y ear 2011!

Hello there,
this comes very late and delayed, but I'm sure you all know how crazy December can get
I hope you all had a great Christmas filled with love around your family or loved ones.
To me it's become the one day of the year you can catch up with the whole family in one day,
every ones lives have become just way too busy!
Being from a Italian background it was filled with waaaaay too much food, and I'm sure so was Connie's with her family.

Merry Christmas from DDF
This year for NYE our friends including us were a little slack with organising anything,
so we decided that it would be nice to spend it with our families which we both are glad to have done.
Connie went to her cousins house with all her cousins and parents, and I went to a family friends beach house. I loved it there because it's a little town where retired people stay it was very quiet, and it was exactly what I needed after a crazy time and year!

Even if it was good spending so much time away, I did miss my friends and Connie of course. So when I got back to Melbourne Sunday after NYE as soon as I got home, unpacked and by the time I got ready we went out.
First stop was Anglers Tavern which we may have mentioned a few times before, it's just a local place with ok crowd and music. The only bad thing must be the short staff on a huge bar, we waited for way too long.
Afterwards we went to Star bar that we haven't been to since April 2010 (My birthday).
I personally Loved the music and the crowd was ... meh, average I guess. Lot's of tall people for some reason, and blonds! That was a bit odd, but apart from that we had a fun night. Lots of shots and drinks were involved...oh what a crazy night.

When we got back home around 1am Connie and Me were not ready to sleep, so we played Whiz-Bang,
one hell of a fun drinking game which perhaps will get its own post with other drinking games.
We ended it with watching Khloe & Kourtney in Miami until around 4am Connie woke me up to go to sleep. (we were on the couches which are way too small to sleep on)

Our countdown to our Europe trip is getting more exciting every single day!!
5 Months and 20 Days away!!

xoxoNelly
